Your last picture sums up why I don't do that !
Last Pix? Did you fight off a mountain lion or just the Klondike Bluffs? ;-) Enjoy your time back in Ouray!
Well earned trophy bruises! Such beauty abounds everywhere, and was that a dinosaur footprint???
Yes...lots of Dinosaur tracks up there!
Oh OUCH!!!!!! Hope you heal fast. -scamp
It's gorgeous country yet I'll never fathom rushing over it on wheels. Especially if that last shot is the result.
.......I would say you had one hell of a Great Time.......what a winter, 2019 will be hard to top: almost time to get back into CIVILIZATION ONCE MORE; hey Ouray is still a great place to spend your summers, a hell of great place. Also we understand there's a NY deli coming to town on 7th ave, will be a nice addition to the dinning scene.See ya in Sept
Hopeful the will serve New York bagels !!!
You really beat yourself up out there. What about Chris, did he end up looking as bad as you?
I told Chris which trails to avoid :)
I got some G-Form reactive impact elbow and knee pads at Poison Spider that work really well to prevent those injuries, when I wear them I never crash and if I don't I inevitably crash. I did fly off the bike one time with them on and emerged unscathed, my backpack was all ripped up however, they worked quite nicely and they are pretty comfortable although the sizing is a little whack. I wish we were at Moab right now, we are leaving Baja Sur day after tomorrow, winds have died and it's heating up!
I like the idea of padding up...but not when it's hot :(
Guess "bleeders" don't have to worry about bleeding afterall. Your obviously ignoring two rules of the outback...keep the rubber side down...and keep the blood on the inside. Remember when I begged you to tag along? Never mind. :)
Those are nicer trails than I've ever found in that area. I need to check it out! Great photos, as always.
