Come Along on Backroads to Moab...Over Dallas Divide, Past Norwood, Nucla, Naturita, Disappointment Valley, Bedrock, Paradox, and Old La Salle

Greetings from Camp Boondock, Utah, on the edge of Postcard Country. In less than an hour Bobbie and I will be taking a Mountain Bike ride with the hater of all things "scenic," the lovey Romantics versus the austere Intellectual. Let the Games begin.

The drive from home to Moab was stunning; Ms Autumn was at her splendid peak! Goldie performed well, and the new storage containers didn't fall off the receiver hitch I welded on to her backside. 73 degrees is the forecasted high today, but rain is coming tonight along with a slight cool front. I'm ok, tho; as my nephew d. says..."It's all good."

Now sit back and enjoy the backroad to Moab as seen through Goldie's eyes.

  4. Mark, in the 20 some years we have been making that drive over to La Sal Junction at the end of our Ouray stay we have never experienced the awesome beauty that the skies provided for your killer road shots.
Like us I am sure you are glad the days of film photography are over. Now the San Juans looked lovely in their new winter white dress and the La Sals appear to have more snow that we have seen for Oct 12.
That said, we hope you have a terrific winter basking in the sun.
    Knowing you will stay thirsty.
    Grateful in California
