I suspect it's because I don't get enough time on the bike to become accustomed although we are friends with a bike shop owner/rider who has the same problem as me and has gone through all kinds of seats. His spouse and co-owner has no problem.

My current MTB has tubeless tires and I've not had a flat yet but don't put that many miles on it to be sure. I bought new tires and what a mess that was to try and replace and I could never get them inflated with a pump. A friend with a compressor got them mounted in no time.

Hope to see you again and perhaps you and Gayle can ride since I have given up.

Enjoyed the story and photos as usual. Miss complaining in person with you.

JimJim and Gaylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13982110996137470496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4134981800236544647.post-41397298781737771692020-12-11T09:22:39.803-07:002020-12-11T09:22:39.803-07:00Enjoyed the post, I still ride tubes but most of m...Enjoyed the post, I still ride tubes but most of my group of dirt riders use tubeless. I also ride a 26" hardtail I inherited when my best friend of 40 years passed. I used to run Stan's Sealant to plug any leaks. The biggest issue back then is that Tubeless Tires fit very tight on the rim and it is a complete battle to get the tires off. Hopefully the latest tires are easier to deal with. Good luck and keep us posted on living in the Tubeless world! :-) Hanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17415717969775499564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4134981800236544647.post-41100612270937487292020-12-09T15:19:52.143-07:002020-12-09T15:19:52.143-07:00We went tubeless years ago after a three flat day....We went tubeless years ago after a three flat day. I thought Jim's head might explode. We'll never go back. Make sure you own the sealant and the syringe that pumps it in there, it needs to be juicy inside. Sometimes the presta valve will get sticky from the latex, so you'll need a pair of pliers to get it to turn when you need to pump tires. You'll also need the tool that pulls out the stem when it's time to add latex. We have not had a flat since we went tube-less.
