Souls who speak to me in the middle of the night. You two, Suzanne, and Terry Tempest Williams. Think she would be caught dead in Quartzsite? I do like the idea of a different spot. Not everyone is along or near the freeway. We were with 38 other rigs, including millionaires. And us in our 25 year old Bounder. We were on BLM land out Plomosa Rd., 4 miles north of town. It was a wonderful experience. Now we are near Tucson, at Picacho Peak State Park, also a great place.Ed@Chasing Sunrises and Sunsetshttp://www.sunrisesandsunsets.usnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4134981800236544647.post-46662091686428194692016-01-29T07:58:24.887-07:002016-01-29T07:58:24.887-07:00I think I might… if it was held somewhere else :)....I think I might… if it was held somewhere else :). My wife actually raised a glass of red wine as I was reading out loud from your blog with a "Here, here!" in total agreement with your observations of that crazy paradox known as 'Q'. I found myself posting the following (with my home group and three groups on RVillage) -- likely poked the bear but isn't that when the fun begins?

"As we were leaving (couldn't get outta' there quick enough), I recall seeing all those fabulous, crazy-expensive motorhomes parked right next to the Interstate at Quartzite -- crowded within inches of each other -- seemed like a fate worse than death. If our RV couldn't get us any further from the Interstate than that, we'd sell it -- or perhaps just abandon it in place and walk away -- as a warning to anyone who might try to follow in our footsteps."
For similar sentiments, be sure to scope out boxcanyonblog.blogspot.com (it's not mine -- don't I wish!)Jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13585969582693570200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4134981800236544647.post-52250666517842170852016-01-28T20:16:06.066-07:002016-01-28T20:16:06.066-07:00Did the Pheebers have a name tag??....She and her ...Did the Pheebers have a name tag??....She and her pets have been so fortunate to find each other.
I also would rather be out in the "sticks"...
DavidUpriverdavidnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4134981800236544647.post-10616853839505632232016-01-28T20:08:40.695-07:002016-01-28T20:08:40.695-07:00Oh you are gonna love Anza Borrego...........some ...Oh you are gonna love Anza Borrego...........some years back we shipped our mountain bikes from Seattle to relatives in CA and flew down there and we spent one wonderful day doing a ride in the desert there. They dropped us off and we rode many miles (can't remember how many) and they picked us up in a different location........it was amazing but you will need to bring lots of water and pack good high energy food.
Like you we have decided not to the full time thing as we planned a few years ago. I think we need a home base to come and regroup. We are still a few years off from hitting the road for as long as you because unlike you we still have day jobs but by reading blogs like yours I can dream about it and go on short vacations and live it from time to time.Sewing Up A Stormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07702395570055483788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4134981800236544647.post-58986422695636493322016-01-28T18:37:59.508-07:002016-01-28T18:37:59.508-07:00I sit here tonight Mark with my favorite communica...I sit here tonight Mark with my favorite communication tool at my fingertips. I am relaxed, I am comfortably alone yet my mind stumbles again for words for it is your words upon my mind which impacts me in an emotional way. I was asked to host it this year and had many second thoughts, but nobody else wanted to do it and we missed it last year. So how hard can it be? we gonna be around the area anyway.
I agree fulltiming does not work for everyone but if does for us allows us to head to warmer climates in the winter at an affordable cost. Better than the cold weather we have in Canada.
Again Thanks for dropping by.our awesome travelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13031755671050584629noreply@blogger.com
